Wildflower Program at Lydia's House
Independent living for young women aging out of residential care. A safe step between Hope Haven and the rest of their lives.
Eighteen doesn't mean ready.
In Belize, residential care ends at 18. But the skills, money, and support to live on your own don't magically arrive on your eighteenth birthday, especially not for a young woman who came into care because her family wasn't safe.
The Wildflower Program is our answer. Young women who age out of Hope Haven can move into Lydia's House, where they continue to have safe housing, a community, and adult support while they finish school, hold down jobs, and learn to run a life of their own.

The Wildflower Program
Learning Real skills For Real Life.
Budgeting & financial literacy
Bank accounts, savings, paying bills, reading a paycheck. The basics nobody taught them.
Job skills & employment
Help with resumes, interview prep, and connections to employers on the island who give our young women a fair shot.
Cooking, cleaning, and running a home
Meal planning, grocery shopping, basic home maintenance, scheduling appointments. Adulting, taught patiently.
Help us keep Lydia's House open.
Transitional living is one of the hardest programs to fundraise for, and one of the most important.
